Fifty Years of Serving the Community
Fifty years ago, Buster Brown Propane was cultivated in the small home of Lois Brown, in New Caney, Texas. She named the company after her late husband, Buster. With a radio, call sheet, and one truck, she conducted business in her living room, handing out calls and building a customer base.
In 1989, her daughter, Jan Peterson, assumed running of the company, setting up an office and increasing the customer base. In 1995, her husband, Mark, joined her and together, they ran Buster Brown, increasing the territory and service.
Today, Buster Brown is a third generation ownership, with Matt Peterson, running operations and expansions. The small living room office has now branched to four locations, ten delivery trucks, and three service crews, making it the 2nd largest independent propane company in Texas and ranked 15th in Single-State Independents Nationwide.

Installation and Service
Buster Brown is committed to following the guidelines of the Texas Railroad Commission. With these guidelines, each installation is set with proper rules and regulations.
Buster Brown Propane has a large selection of ASME Residential Propane tanks, that can be easily installed by one of the certified technicians.

Cylinder Filling
Each location is certified to fill small capacity mobile cylinders. Each tank must be DOT certified for filling.
Purchase of a new cylinder is available at each location.
Commercial installation
Buster Brown Propane services commercial industries with ASME Propane Tank or DOT Propane Tanks.
Each company receives a personal quote from a certified manager of sales according to the individual companies’ needs.
Buster Brown Propane services many forms of industries, including bottle filling stations, forklift cylinders, and large capacity tanks.
Delivery of Gas
Buster Brown Propane believes in a personal relationship with each customer, and strives to meet the needs of the individual.
When needing a gas delivery, please check tank prior to calling and let the office know the gauge’s reading.
Buster Brown has regular deliveries, Monday through Saturday. There is no scheduled route, unless deemed according to a contract.
